Overview

Opportunity: Assistant Front Office Manager

Assist in overseeing front office operations, including supervising front office personnel in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring they perform according to brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
  2. Oversee all front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager or Assistant General Manager.
  3. Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  4. Assist in monitoring front office financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting controls and procedures.
  5. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring budgets and forecasts on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  6. Review, submit for approval, and order capital budget items as required.
  7. Review guest correspondence and incident logs; direct staff accordingly.
  8. Ensure front office supplies and merchandise are fully stocked and inventory is maintained.
  9. Collaborate with the Sales office to manage group resumes and rooming lists.
  10. Monitor guest room occupancy to ensure efficient use and minimize overbooking.
  11. Follow sustainability practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  12. Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of hospitality experience, including front desk operations.
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Work schedule varies; may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
