Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is seeking an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager to lead the Front Desk team and drive guest service excellence. This role supports budgeting, reservations, and staff development within a flagship property owned by Shamin Hotels.

The position requires several years in hospitality with supervisory abilities, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office and Front Desk systems.

Qualifications

• Hotel front desk experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s or an Associate degree is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Front Desk staff including hiring, training, instructing, scheduling, motivating and evaluating.
• Develop strategies to maintain excellent guest service meeting Hilton and Shamin standards.
• Work with Operations to achieve budgets and maximize profitability for Front Desk.
• Lead reservations to maintain occupancy and ADR.
• Ensure Hilton Honors goals and recognition are met by staff and associates.
• Maintain procedures for credit control and security of monies.

The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is seeking a hospitality professional to join our team as an Assistant Front Office Manager. This is a great opportunity for a guest service champion looking to build a management career with a growing hospitality company.

Job Duties

• Supervise Front Desk staff including hiring, training, instructing, scheduling, motivating and evaluating.
• Develop and implement strategies and operational plans to maintain excellent guest service that meets Hilton and Shamin Hotels standards.
• Work with the Director of Operations to achieve budgets and maximize profitability related to Front Desk departments.
• Lead the reservation function to maintain the highest possible room occupancy and average daily rates.
• Lead efforts to ensure Hilton Honors membership goals and recognition are met by the Front Desk team and by all associates.
• Ensure Hilton and Shamin Hotels initiatives, including Make it Right, Light Stay, Iconic Circle and TOP Squad are embraced by staff and successfully implemented and reported.
• Maintain procedures for credit control and handling of financial transactions.
• Maintain procedures for security of monies, guest security and emergency procedures.
• Respond to and resolve guest issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure excellent guest service and profitability goals are met.
• Participate on the hotel management team and act as a brand ambassador by attending internal and external meetings and activities as appropriate.

Job Qualifications

Candidates must have several years hospitality experience, strong guest service skills and supervisory abilities. Specifically, the position requires the following:

• Hotel front desk experience with at least one year in a supervisory position is required.
• A Bachelor’s or Associates degree is strongly preferred.
• Must have experience modeling excellent guest service practices and behaviors and mentoring newer associates.
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and possess basic mathematical skills
• Fluency in English is required with excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills.
• Comfort working in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook as well as internet based platforms and applications.
• Knowledge of Hilton PEP or OnQ systems is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) and regularly lift 25 pounds.
