Job description

Lead the Front of House at Phoenix's Premier All-Suite Resort

Nestled against the dramatic backdrop of South Mountain, Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is Phoenix's largest all-suite resort — home to a thriving Oasis Water Park, championship golf, a renowned spa, and the kind of guest experience that keeps travelers coming back year after year. This is more than a desk job. This is the next chapter in a hospitality career destined for the executive suite.

We are seeking a polished, decisive, and service-driven professional ready to step into a leadership role at the heart of our operation. As a trusted partner to the Front Office Manager, you will shape the first and last impression every guest takes with them — and build the skills that lead directly toward a General Manager's office.

Why This Role, Why This Resort
  • Work where the Sonoran Desert meets five-star hospitality — with over 300 days of sunshine a year and Phoenix's vibrant dining, culture, and outdoor lifestyle just outside your door.
  • Join a AAA Four Diamond property with a reputation for excellence, where Mystery Shopper and Grand Service Standards aren't just policy — they're a point of pride.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to every discipline of resort leadership: operations, budgeting, forecasting, staff development, and guest relations.
  • Build a career, not just a résumé, with mentorship from seasoned hospitality leaders invested in your growth.
What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a visible, hands-on leader across the Front Desk, Bell Desk, and PBX teams, coaching and developing associates alongside Human Resources.
  • Personally welcome VIP and VVIP arrivals, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay.
  • Resolve guest challenges swiftly and professionally, documenting outcomes with clarity and care.
  • Partner with meeting planners and review group resumes to ensure flawless execution of every event.
  • Monitor budgets, staffing levels, and labor reports, making informed decisions in partnership with the Front Office Manager.
  • Audit cash banks, manage departmental billing inquiries, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Respond to guest feedback across internal surveys and platforms such as TripAdvisor and Expedia, protecting and elevating the resort’s sterling reputation.
  • Prepare and distribute the Manager on Duty report, keeping leadership informed and aligned.
  • Step confidently into pre-convention meetings and staff briefings, representing the Front Office with authority and warmth.
What You Bring
  • A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of hospitality experience, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly under pressure.
  • Comfort with moderately complex computer systems and the mathematical aptitude to manage billing and budgets without error.
  • A commanding yet gracious presence — someone who leads by example, behaves with unwavering integrity, and presents the professional polish expected of a Four Diamond resort.

The Arizona Grand Resort & Spa’s leaders and associates believe each guest should be treated with respect and professionalism. We create a genuine experience, enticing our guests to return again and again. In order to be successful at The Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, associates must share both our Purpose (Making Space for Genuine Hospitality) and Pillars (Hands On & Heartfelt, Sincere & Focused, Collaborative & Curious, and Conscientious). This includes possessing and demonstrating a high level of courtesy and respect for both internal and external guests. Our fun, friendly and enthusiastic associates treat every guest as if they were our only guest. A true customer focus is essential to success with our property.
