Sunbelt Rentals in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Foreman to support project execution and profitable delivery by providing hands-on support, ensuring safety, and coordinating with project leadership.

The role focuses on system mobilization, maintenance, and coordinating with project teams to keep timelines and equipment running efficiently. A mechanical background and ability to read manuals and schematics are preferred; base pay ranges from $21.38 to $29.39 per hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or education in mechanics/engineering are a plus.
• Experience with bypass pumping, generators, power distribution, A/C and heat/water restoration or construction equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with customers, team members and internal resources.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist and lead the setup and tear down of equipment for various operational systems (Pumping, Power, HVAC, Energy systems).
• Actively participate in rapid deployment and management of resources for disaster restoration and emergency response.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Identify hazards and implement controls to minimize risk while executing projects.
• Collaborate with Project Leads to monitor timelines and resource allocation; ensure on-time delivery.
