Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Foreman to support project execution by providing hands-on equipment mobilization, setup and tear down, and by coordinating with project leadership.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, hazard identification, and efficient performance to ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction. A high school diploma and mechanical/maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus.
• Experience with bypass pumping, generators, power distribution, A/C and water restoration equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic interfaces.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead setup/tear down of equipment for operational systems (pumping, power, HVAC, energy, temporary utilities).
• Participate in rapid deployment and management of resources for disaster restoration and emergency response.
• Promote safety and ensure adherence to safety policies.
• Identify hazards and implement controls to minimize risk.
• Collaborate with Project Leads to monitor timelines and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely project delivery and that equipment runs efficiently.
