Job description

Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Football Coach for a seasonal position at Oakville Middle/High School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching and developing young athletes, as well as a deep knowledge of the game of football.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the football program
2. Help plan and execute practices and game strategies
3. Provide instruction and feedback to players on technique, skills, and game performance
4. Attend all team meetings, practices, and games
5. Help supervise team activities, including weight training and conditioning sessions
6. Foster a positive team culture and sportsmanship among players
7. Assist with equipment inventory and maintenance
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director

Requirements:

1. Prior coaching experience at the high school level or higher preferred
2. Deep knowledge of the game of football, including offensive and defensive strategies
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire players
4. Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, other assistant coaches, and school staff
5. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by the football schedule
6. Must pass all background checks required by the school district
7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from practices and games
