Job summary

Buc-ee's Ltd. in Texas is seeking an Assistant Food Service Manager to support all aspects of the department with a focus on cleanliness, friendliness and stock levels. You will lead by example, develop staff, and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires managing a broad offerings range, resolving customer issues quickly, and ensuring compliance with safety and employment laws; relocation may be required and weekend/holiday work is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant management or food service leadership.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant Food Service experience preferred.
• Proficiency in food planning, sanitation, and handling.
• MS Office (Excel & Outlook) proficiency.
• Experience with POS devices and related tech.
• May require relocation.
• Work weekends and holidays.
• Rotating schedule may alternate day/night.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Prolonged walking/standing for 8 hours or more.

Responsibilities

• Assist with every aspect of operating the department per the company pillars: Clean, Friendly, In Stock.
• Develop employees while ensuring high industry standards.
• Perform duties of the Food Service Manager in their absence when needed.
• Manage product offerings across jerky, smoked meats, bakery, grab-and-go and more.
• Resolve customer issues in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with food service laws and employment regulations.
• Oversee safety rules and equipment use in the kitchen.
• Interact professionally with team members and customers.
• Complete food service operating reports accurately.
