Job summary

Buc-ee's Ltd in Bastrop, TX seeks an Assistant Food Service Manager to lead and support all aspects of the department, aligning with our Clean, Friendly, and In Stock pillars. You will coach staff, ensure high standards, and manage day-to-day operations in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Restaurant, retail or management experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant Food Service experience preferred.
• Proficiency in food planning, sanitation, and food handling.
• Acquire and maintain food service certifications.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• May require relocation; weekends and holidays; rotating day/night schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with duties of the Food Service Manager in their absence or at their discretion.
• Manage offerings including Jerky, Smoked Meats, Sausage, BBQ, Bakery, Sandwiches, Grab and Go, Tacos, Burritos, Hot Dogs.
• Resolve customer issues quickly in a friendly and professional manner.
• Understand and apply federal, state, and local laws in regards to foodservice and employment matters.
• Ensure proper use of kitchen equipment and appliances and maintain safety rules.
• Develop employees and ensure accurate completion of operating reports.
