Recess Hotel & Club in Savannah is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join Le Flâneur’s leadership team and support daily service, team development, and guest experiences. You will help oversee Le Flâneur, our signature French brasserie, and assist with other F&B outlets and hotel operations as needed.

The role is ideal for someone coming from a leadership development program or with experience as a restaurant supervisor, front-of-house lead, or junior manager.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality leadership experience, ideally as a Supervisor, Lead, Manager in Training, or Assistant Manager.
• Full-service restaurant experience strongly preferred; upscale, luxury, boutique, or lifestyle hospitality experience is a plus.
• A genuine desire to build a career in Food & Beverage and hospitality leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation and leadership of Le Flâneur, helping ensure smooth, consistent service across all shifts.
• Lead by example on the floor, actively supporting the team and engaging with guests throughout service.
• Coach, develop, and motivate front-of-house team members while reinforcing service expectations and hospitality standards.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, shift leadership, floor assignments, and daily operational needs.
• Partner with culinary and beverage teams to ensure strong communication and seamless service execution.
• Help resolve guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and genuine hospitality.

About the role

Recess Hotel & Club is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our Food & Beverage leadership team, with a primary focus on supporting the daily operation of Le Flâneur, our signature French brasserie.

This is a great opportunity for an emerging hospitality leader ready to take the next step. The ideal candidate may come from a leadership development program or have experience as a restaurant supervisor, front-of-house lead, or junior manager.

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will support daily service, team development, and the guest experience at Le Flâneur, while also assisting with other Food & Beverage outlets and hotel operations as needed.

What you'll do

• Support the daily operation and leadership of Le Flâneur, helping ensure smooth, consistent service across all shifts
• Lead by example on the floor, actively supporting the team and engaging with guests throughout service
• Coach, develop, and motivate front-of-house team members while reinforcing service expectations and hospitality standards
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, shift leadership, floor assignments, and daily operational needs
• Partner with culinary and beverage teams to ensure strong communication and seamless service execution
• Help resolve guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and genuine hospitality
• Support training and onboarding for new team members
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory, and other administrative responsibilities
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, presentation, and overall restaurant readiness
• Support special events, programming, and other Food & Beverage outlets throughout Recess Hotel & Club as needed
• Continue developing your knowledge of restaurant operations, financial performance, beverage, and hospitality leadership

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality leadership experience, ideally as a Supervisor, Lead, Manager in Training, or Assistant Manager
• Full-service restaurant experience strongly preferred; upscale, luxury, boutique, or lifestyle hospitality experience is a plus
• A genuine desire to build a career in Food & Beverage and hospitality leadership
• Strong guest service instincts and the confidence to lead from the floor
• Positive, approachable leadership style with the ability to coach and motivate others
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain composed and engaged in a fast-paced service environment
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take on increasing responsibility
