What will you be doing?
- Interview, select, train, supervise, and counsel restaurant staff for efficient outlet operation.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate pertinent information such as house count and menu changes; schedule and direct staff accordingly.
- Interact positively with customers, promoting hotel facilities and services; resolve issues to satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain effective staff relations.
- Monitor food quality and service standards throughout the facility and kitchen; verify temperature, appearance, and taste; provide guidance for improvements.
- Maintain house bank and utilize POS systems for accurate billing and revenue reporting.
- Implement and uphold sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct; oversee conduct, dress, hygiene, and professionalism.
- Administer sales promotion and employee incentive programs.
- Review staff performance and maintain employee records.
What do you bring to the role?
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, preparation techniques, and wine varieties.
- Mathematical skills for inventory, controls, revenue, and financial reporting.
- Ability to work standing and moving throughout the shift in restaurant and kitchen areas.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Patience, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with guests and staff.
- High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage, preferably in fine dining or steakhouse environments.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, POS systems.
