Job summary

Spina O'Rourke + Partners is seeking a strategic Assistant Controller to lead the financial operations of our growing architecture and interior design practice in downtown West Palm Beach. This role reports to ownership and drives day-to-day accounting, reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, WIP reporting, project profitability, and long-term financial planning, partnering with leadership to shape growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years financial experience.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or other project-based professional services strongly preferred.
• Strong financial planning, forecasting, and leadership skills.
• This is a full-time, in-office executive position.
• Local candidates only. Applicants must currently live within commuting distance of West Palm Beach. Relocation assistance is not available.

Working closely with ownership, the Assistant Controller will help oversee day to day accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, project profitability, cash flow, budgeting, WIP reporting, and long-term business strategy while supporting continued growth and operational excellence.
