Job summary

Ascendo Resources is assisting our client in their search for an Assistant Corporate Controller in Doral, Miami. This role leads the accounting organization to ensure integrity and speed of financial reporting, reporting to the Corporate Controller and overseeing GL, consolidated reporting, and fixed assets.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (Master's MBA preferred), 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including public/accounting and corporate

Qualifications

• CPA required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Masters Degree / MBA highly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including both public accounting (Big 4 audit preferred) and corporate leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success leading monthly close, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Strong technical accounting foundation, including consolidations, policy interpretation, and implementation of new standards.
• Proven ability to manage and develop teams while driving accountability and continuous improvement.
• Experience operating in mid-to-large scale organizations ($250M–$1B revenue preferred).
• ERP implementations or upgrades highly desirable.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, build relationships, and communicate effectively across leadership levels.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success leading monthly close, financial reporting, and audit processes within a complex, multi-entity environment
• Strong technical accounting foundation, including consolidations, policy interpretation, and implementation of new standards
• Proven ability to manage and develop teams while driving accountability and continuous improvement
• Experience operating in mid-to-large scale organizations ($250M–$1B revenue preferred)
• Systems and process improvement experience, including ERP implementations or upgrades, highly desirable
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, build relationships, and communicate effectively across leadership levels
• Project Management / PMO - industry preferred
