Job summary

Central Business Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller for a full-time, onsite role in West Palm Beach, FL. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and project accounting to support performance and profitability.

The position requires a CPA (preferred) and at least five years in senior finance leadership, with experience in project-based professional services. Relocation not offered; commuting distance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of senior-level accounting or finance leadership experience.
• Experience within architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), or other project-based professional services is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of: financial planning and forecasting, budgeting, project accounting, WIP reporting, cash flow management, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Must currently reside within commuting distance of West Palm Beach, FL.
• Relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
• Monitor project profitability and prepare Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Support long-term financial strategy and business planning.
• Partner with executive leadership to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
• Ensure accurate financial controls and compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
