BASIC FUNCTION

The Assistant Financial Center Manager provides exceptional customer service while attending to customers' needs. The AFCM creates and fosters a cohesive team and promotes a positive work environment while overseeing the Financial Center Service Reps who perform both routine financial transactions and customer service functions. May cover multiple branches within the region. Assists tellers with more complex tasks and schedules the workflow.

Demonstrates sound judgment and accountability with operational standards. Provides leadership, conflict resolution, process improvement, and communication to the Financial Center Service Reps. Responsible for performing audit functions, participating in daily branch opening and closing procedures, and performing operational tasks, coaching, and performance management.

In the absence of, or assisting the Financial Center Manager, responsible for overall branch management including operations, sales management, and productivity.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and execute the operations of the teller line
  • Act as the second in charge in the branch and as the acting manager in the absence of the Financial Center Manager
  • Ensure all FCSRs are proficient with operations and compliance related to their roles
  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly teller line workflow scheduling
  • Operate a teller drawer and/or fill in on the platform as needed
  • Ensure all FCSRs actively participate in the internal sales process daily to meet referral and sales expectations
  • Assist the Financial Center Manager with the accurate completion of the branch's monthly self-audit program
  • Observe, coach, and develop FCSRs continually
  • Recommend and implement performance management processes for FCSRs as needed
  • Travel and work at other branches as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Supervise Financial Center Service Reps

Education

  • High School diploma or GED required

Experience

  • 2-5 years of retail banking experience required
