Division: Retail Banking

Department: Various - Branch Network

Reports to: Financial Center Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Grade: 7

Pay Range: $20.50 - $35.99

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Location: New Lebanon, NY - Hwy 20

Purpose/Objective:

Assists the Financial Center Manager with growing the Bank by managing customer relationships, directing branch operations, supervising team members, and ensuring that the entire team provides excellent customer service.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Customer Service & Sales: Educates clients on our products and services offered in the branches and digitally. Initiates, processes, and closes various loans, including Consumer, Home Equities, and Small Business. Manages client relationships using tools like Relationship Builder and Salesforce. Refers clients to partnership solutions such as Wealth, Insurance, Cash Management, and Mortgage. Leads lobby management, ensures prompt assistance, and thanks clients for their business. Resolves client issues, assists with digital banking adoption, and ensures proper documentation and compliance for accounts. (35%)
  2. Branch Sales & Staff Development: Supports the branch's sales culture to meet goals and initiatives. Coaches, develops, and trains staff. Monitors client experience quality and branch standards. Communicates policies and objectives. Leads staff meetings and huddles. Keeps updated on banking regulations and branch security. May review legal documents and stays informed about new products and promotions. (35%)
  3. Operations Management: Manages daily branch operations, including opening/closing, security, and transaction oversight. Provides backup support to the Branch Officer. Ensures branch appearance and supplies are maintained. Reviews reports and oversees audits. (20%)
  4. Personnel Management: Provides input on staff performance, recommends salary adjustments, resolves personnel issues, and supports hiring. Manages staff scheduling, including weekly and Saturday shifts. (10%)
  5. Compliance & Miscellaneous: Ensures adherence to banking laws, regulations, and policies. Must be eligible for SAFE Act registration. Available for Saturday hours and travel as needed.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of branch banking experience
  • Proven decision-making, leadership, and handling difficult situations
