Tri-County Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Finance Officer to support the CFO with day-to-day accounting, payroll processing, budgeting, and grant invoicing in Halifax, Charlotte, and Mecklenburg Counties of Southside Virginia.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or at least four years of business accounting experience, strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, and the ability to communicate with funding sources.

Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.00 an hour

The Assistant Finance Officer, under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the agency's financial operations to ensure all financial systems are in place and functioning effectively. The Assistant Finance Officer will perform accounting duties such as recording receipts and disbursement for financial transactions on the general ledger, generating financial reports on a timely basis, and assisting with budgeting, grant invoicing, payroll functions, and accounts payable, while maintaining appropriate accounting records.
