Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Assistant Field Manager to assist the Field Manager in coordinating crews, equipment, and materials for landscape maintenance and snow removal operations. You’ll spend time on job sites coaching teams, solving challenges, and ensuring safety and quality to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, budgeting oversight, and client relationship development to support contract renewals.

Qualifications

• Safety-first mindset with commitment to safety regulations and promoting safe work practices.
• Two years of relevant industry experience and/or certifications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past three years.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Emerging leadership skills with ability and desire to lead and develop team members.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Working knowledge of landscape maintenance and snow removal operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and overseeing daily production activities for assigned maintenance contracts, ensuring efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
• Actively participate in the training process by regularly attending or conducting training sessions.
• Understand and track job budgets by regularly reviewing hours, reports, and costs, while keeping crew members informed and making adjustments as needed.
• Inspect job sites regularly to monitor work quality, proactively identify and address potential issues, and ensure service expectations are met.
• Assist with completing property inspections and ensuring service reports and related documentation are submitted accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities for landscape enhancements and additional services that provide value to clients beyond the base contract scope.
• Help cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients to support customer satisfaction and contract renewals.
• Develop a clear understanding of the philosophies by which the company operates, the short-and long-term goals of the branch, and the financial position of the branch.
• Ensure all assigned vehicles and equipment are consistently maintained in a safe, clean, and fully operational condition.
