Job summary

Ruppert Landscape is seeking an Assistant Field Manager to support field operations, oversee labor and materials on contracts, and develop crew members. The role emphasizes achieving contract renewals, staying within budgeted hours, and maintaining low turnover among assistants and crew.

The position requires leadership, coordination with field managers, and alignment with branch goals across projects including maintenance and snow removal.

Qualifications

• Experience managing others and coordinating with customers.
• At least 1 year in contract maintenance in a commercial setting.
• Two- or four-year horticultural degree; or equivalent industry experience.
• Ability to identify insect and disease issues and schedule treatment.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (last 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
• Develop understanding of budgets and monitor hours, costs and reports.
• Communicate budget hours to crewmembers and maintain quality.
• Inspect work and address issues with customers at end of day.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good condition.
• Collaborate with other field managers to meet branch goals.
