Temple University's Athletics Department is searching for an Assistant Field Hockey Coach.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Head Field Hockey Coach, the Assistant Coach contributes to developing a competitive Division I Field Hockey program. The primary responsibility is instructing student-athletes in field hockey. Additionally, the Assistant Coach evaluates and recruits qualified student-athletes to Temple University, ensuring their athletic and academic qualifications enhance the program's competitiveness and support their graduation.

The Assistant Coach exemplifies leadership and integrity, assisting in recruiting, practices, competitions, and managing related activities. The role requires adherence to NCAA regulations and conference policies concerning recruiting, eligibility, ethics, and benefits.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, sports management, or physical education, with at least two years of collegiate coaching or playing experience. Experience with Division I NCAA rules is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:

• NCAA Division I experience.
• Experience in budgeting and fundraising for athletic programs.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Skills in budgeting, scheduling, coaching, recruiting, and equipment management.
• Ability to implement policies for personnel and student-athletes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Preferred:

• NCAA Division I experience.
• Experience in budget development and fundraising.
