Job description

TRISTAR is seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer/Physical Security Manager for our Corporate Office in Bloomington, IN.

  1. The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing various aspects of the security program, including personnel security, OPSEC, security training, and OCONUS travel.
  2. The AFSO will serve as the Physical Security Manager responsible for safeguarding classified information and materials. They will communicate effectively with government customers, TRISTAR senior leadership, subcontract partners, and employees.
  3. Candidates should have knowledge of industrial security and previous experience in security within a government, military, or contractor environment.
  4. A working knowledge of security protocols and regulations is required.
Position Responsibilities
  1. Processing security documentation, conducting pre-screening interviews, indoctrinations, visit requests, and briefing employees on safeguarding classified material.
  2. Managing classified inventory, including protection, destruction, transportation, receiving, and marking of classified materials.
  3. Assisting with the construction oversight of classified facilities.
  4. Facilitating facility inspections by DCSA.
  5. Ensuring physical security across multiple facilities and safeguarding classified materials up to TS/SCI.
  6. Coordinating unclassified and classified meetings per NISPOM requirements.
  7. Implementing site-specific security procedures, checklists, and controls for classified operations.
  8. Maintaining personnel security files and providing security training.
Requirements
  1. Extensive knowledge of CUI, special handling caveats, including ITAR restrictions related to foreign nationals.
  2. Experience protecting personnel information under the Privacy Act of 1974.
  3. Experience with DISS and other government security information systems.
  4. Experience with physical security of classified materials and facilities management.
  5. Experience in creating security training materials and conducting employee training remotely and in person.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Must be a US Citizen.
  8. An Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required; the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
Education and Certification
  1. An Associate's degree and at least two years of experience in Industrial Security are required. The degree requirement may be waived with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
