Summary: The Assistant Facility Manager performs daily facility operations responsibilities to assist the Facility Manager and professional staff members. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records. Coordinate repair, alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate maintenance personnel. Responsible for Food Safety and is trained in; HACCP, GMP, SQF, Food Defense, and Allergen Management and Chemical Control.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must have strong electrical equipment troubleshooting skills. PLC and VFD knowledge are a plus.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degrees in electronics/Electrical are a plus.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. In addition, the ability to communicate to employees using basic Spanish is a plus.
Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Word processing, Spreadsheets, E-mail, Manufacturing software, Database software.
Certificates and Licenses: Certificate(s) and/or Licenses as required operating and maintaining the equipment necessary in the operation of the bakery.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
