Job summary

Cedar Point Sports Center is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to lead the F&B operations for the venue and managed properties in Sandusky, OH. You will oversee menu planning, food preparation, and service quality while guiding a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, culinary and F&B management experience, and certification in ServSafe with preferred Food Safety Manager and RAMP credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 2–4 years of culinary experience.
• 2–4 years of food & beverage management experience.
• ServSafe Certification is required.
• Food Safety Manager Certification is preferred.
• RAMP Certification is preferred.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to work irregular shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Align with Cedar Point Sports Center Mission Statement and Core Values.
• Manage daily production, preparation & presentation of all food for concessions and events to ensure quality, consistent product.
• Assist in hiring, training, mentoring, and supervising all F&B team members.
• Open, supervise, operate, and close concession locations.
• Monitor food & labor costs and financial reports to aid cost management.
• Assist in weekly and monthly inventory reporting.
• Manage storage areas (cooler, freezer, dry storage).
• Maintain highest levels of food safety and sanitation; ensure safety compliance and inspections scores of 98+.
• Assist in ordering perishable and non-perishable supplies; coordinate with vendors.
• Research new food & beverage items and menu ideas reflecting current trends.
• Manage supplier invoices and communications with vendors.
• Inspect equipment and deliveries; arrange repairs as needed.
• Handle customer complaints and feedback.
• Coordinate catering for events with other managers and vendors.
• Complete special projects and daily tasks as directed.
