Job summary

Cedar Point Sports Center seeks a part-time Food & Beverage Team Member to provide friendly service in the food and beverage area at the Sandusky, OH location. You will assist customers, handle cash transactions, and help with food preparation and service.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, balancing the drawer, maintaining clean dining and concession areas, and ensuring proper food temperatures during service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer.

• One year of customer service experience with general public preferred.

STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for positive individuals to assist with our food & beverage areas to provide quality service as well as consistent products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist customers as needed with outstanding customer service
• Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine
• Perform basic mathematical computations
• Balance drawer and manage daily income
• Communicate with the public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner
• Clean dining and concession areas and tables; assist in preparing and serving food items; fill condiment containers
• Scrape and rinse dishes, load dishwasher and operate dishwashing machine; wash dishes, carts, pots, pans, and equipment
• Take and record temperature of food to ensure proper temperature controls in the transportation of food
• Assist in unloading, lifting, and carrying food and supplies from trucks and storage areas, and place them in designated areas
• Assist chef with food preparation
• Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes and at the correct temperature
• Maintains appearance of all equipment and serving counters
• Cleans kitchen area before and after business hours
• Scrub, sanitizes, and stores pots and pans, utensils, and dishes
• All other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work weekends
• Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
