Job summary

America's Best is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales, manage eyewear inventory and patient service, and lead a team of opticians and sales associates to deliver a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience.
• Supervising experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer-focused with exceptional service skills.
• Solid understanding of store operations and policies.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports.
• Forecasting staffing needs and recruiting capabilities.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e., reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Convey a commitment to outstanding customer service and ensure the team does the same.
• Review quality standards, remakes, and enforce policies for compliance.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reporting.
• Oversee promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising; align staff and doctors with promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and Sales associates and ensure timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs and recruiting top-caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, duties may vary to meet licensing or credential requirements.
