Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to lead housekeeping operations, inspire teams, and ensure rooms and public spaces meet world-class standards of luxury and service.

This leadership role emphasizes guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and staff development, with responsibilities spanning hiring, training, inspections, budgets, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Two years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Housekeeping or EVS.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred.
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, bilingual highly preferred.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive resolution.
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability processes to meet short- and long-term business objectives.
• Lead all Housekeeping HR functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers to support performance and advancement opportunities.
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet quality assurance and sanitation standards.
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed in accordance with policies, procedures, and timelines.
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed.
