Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Alexandria, VA is seeking an Assistant Executive Director (AED) to support the Executive Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating all operations including P&L and sales leadership. You will act as HR contact for the community and help manage day-to-day activities for residents and staff.

You will lead recruitment, onboarding, budget oversight, and ensure compliance with care and safety regulations while maintaining high resident satisfaction and a positive team

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree in business, human services, gerontology, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in retirement housing, hospitality, or healthcare management.
• Experience building sales and achieving financial goals.
• Familiarity with CRM, ATS, HRIS systems, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating daily operations.
• Oversee front desk staff, including training and supervision.
• Lead recruitment efforts and maintain a high-performing team.
• Manage hiring, promotions, discipline, and retention of staff.
• Drive resident satisfaction and ensure accurate records and compliance.
• Oversee budget and cash flow, and participate in sales activities and events.
