Job summary

Kenect Nashville seeks an Assistant Executive Director to lead revenue strategy across all Kenect streams, including leasing, coworking, and amenity rentals. The role partners with the Executive Director to guide sales direction, mentor the leasing team, and deliver leasing and financial performance updates to ownership and investors.

The ideal candidate will drive pricing, renewal strategies, and occupancy targets while coordinating with operations across marketing, facilities, and accounting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in student or multifamily housing, real estate, or hospitality, with 3+ years leading sales or leasing teams.
• 4+ years in accounting, AR, payroll, and collections in multifamily or student housing.
• Proven track record of hitting occupancy and revenue targets via strategy and team development.
• Experience with mid-term or short-term rental operations, coworking or membership sales, or retail tenant management is a plus.
• Experience with Yardi (RentCafé and Kube) preferred; proficient with Google Drive, OneDrive, and Excel.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, and Equal Opportunity Housing laws and procedures.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The AED+Head of Sales develops and leads the sales strategy for all Kenect revenue streams to achieve occupancy, revenue, and NOI goals.
• Sets sales KPIs, targets, tracks pipeline, and reviews performance weekly.
• Owns pricing and renewal recommendations based on competitor analyses and leasing data.
• Leads weekly leasing and marketing calls; oversees hiring, onboarding, and training for sales and leasing roles.
• Mentors leasing team, builds a high-performance culture, and ensures consistency in tour standards and follow-up.
• Manages collections, delinquency, and coordinating with Executive Director on financial performance.
• Oversees operations including payroll, accounting, and vendor relations; ensures compliance and reporting.
