Job summary

MGM Resorts International – Mandalay Bay is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead a dedicated housekeeping team and uphold the highest cleanliness and presentation standards across the property. You will guide supervision, training, and workflow to ensure a seamless guest stay from check-in to departure.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in housekeeping with supervisory experience, and is comfortable working in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in housekeeping.
• 2+ years of prior relevant supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience working within or managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan/vision for the department, the division, and the property.
• Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service standards within Housekeeping, consistent with established guidelines.
• Manages Human Resources responsibilities for Housekeeping.
• Mentors/coaches Housekeeping Floor Managers to optimize advancement opportunities for staff.
• Assumes full responsibilities of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
• Promotes teamwork and a commitment to excellence in service.
• Ensures compliance with budgetary guidelines, policies, standards, and legal requirements.
• Evaluates staffing levels and recommends adjustments as needed.
• Responds to guest service interactions professionally and promptly.
• Inspects rooms daily to ensure QA standards are met.
