Job summary

Haverford Township is seeking an energetic Assistant Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Community Recreation & Environmental Center (CREC). You will lead event planning, coordinate rentals, and supervise part-time staff to ensure every function runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years in facility operations, event management, hospitality, recreation, or related fields.
• Prior supervisory or lead-worker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee facility rentals and special events from planning through completion.
• Supervise and schedule part-time rental and event staff.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and facility users during events.
• Monitor facility operations and building systems, including HVAC, lighting, security, and access controls.
• Coordinate maintenance needs and ensure the facility is clean, safe, and event-ready.
• Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Serve as Manager on Duty during evenings, weekends, and in the absence of the Facility Operations Manager.
