Job summary

Progressive Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an experienced cost estimator to develop design/build and plan & spec estimates by analyzing blueprints and customer specs. You will perform take-offs of piping, ductwork, equipment and materials using QuoteSoft under general supervision.

You will support bid strategies, coordinate with sales, attend pre-bid meetings, and hand off estimates to the Project Manager. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating piping and ductwork from plans and specs.
• Ability to support bid strategies with customer specifications.
• Familiar with subcontractor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare routine estimates under supervision.
• Take-offs of piping, ductwork, equipment and materials.
• Review plans and specs and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Hand off estimates to Project Manager or Chief Estimator.
• Assist with change orders and budget updates.
