The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, NY seeks an Assistant Engineering Manager to lead operations and maintenance of the museum's mechanical and electrical plant, supervise union staff, and oversee contracts for HVAC, water treatment, and building systems. Ideal candidate has a BS in engineering and 5+ years in facilities management, with knowledge of BMS and sustainability.

Compensation ranges $120,000–$130,000 annually; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience accepted
• At least five years’ experience in facilities management
• Experience with water treatment systems and vertical transportation is a plus
• Knowledge of chiller plants, plant operation and water treatment systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with engineering unions

Responsabilités

• Operation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant (chiller, HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Responsible for HVAC and electrical systems repair and maintenance
• Monitoring and management of the Building Management System (BMS)
• Supervise union maintenance personnel
• Support facilities and capital projects to include design reviews and construction oversight
• Other related duties
