Job summary

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to oversee hotel and building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety. You will assist with planning and directing engineering workflow while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has experience in hospitality engineering, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with contractors. This full-time role offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of previous experience in engineering trades related to hospitality.
• Experience supervising staff and leading hotel teams.
• Technical knowledge of building maintenance and engineering trades.
• Ability to operate computer equipment; good communication skills.
• Current US work authorization; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the team to conduct repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or projects.
• Assist in training, supervision, scheduling and evaluation of maintenance staff.
• Maintain close relations with hotel contractors providing reliable 24-hour emergency services.
• Respond to inquiries and problems to achieve guest satisfaction.

About the role:

Assist theChief Engineerin all aspects of hotel and building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior,paintand decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient,courteousand professional manner to achievemaximumcustomer satisfaction whilecomplying withall Four Seasons’ policies.Assistwith the planning, organizing, controlling,and directing the workflow ofengineering requests.

What you will do:

• Assistin managing the team to conduct repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects assigned by the Engineering Manager.

• Assist in the training, supervision, counseling,schedulingand evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis.

• Maintain close working relations with hotel contractors whoprovidereliable 24-hour emergencyservices.

• This position may also respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient,courteous,and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.

What you bring:

• Minimum 2 +years ofpreviousexperience in engineering trades related to hospitality is preferred.Experience working in and supervising staff and leading teams in a hotel environmentpreferred.

• Requires technical knowledge of building maintenance and engineering trades.

• Ability tooperatecomputer equipment.

• This role has direct contact with guests and as such,good communicationskills are a necessity.

• Fluency in English isrequiredfor thislocation,and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States. Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Schedule & Hours:

• This is a full-time position.
