Job summary

Four Seasons in Colorado (Vail) seeks an Engineer 1 for full-time, on-site service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint, and decorating. You will respond to inquiries and manage engineering workflow to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requires minimum 4+ years of plant maintenance experience, strong technical knowledge of building systems, and fluency in English. US work authorization is required; Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in plant maintenance and operation (HVAC, boilers, pumps, etc.).
• Technical knowledge of general building maintenance including HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Good organizational skills and ability to keep working areas neat and organized.
• Excellent English communication; US work authorization required; Spanish preferred.

Engineer 1

Full‑time year‑round on‑site position. This role will provide service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction. They will plan, organize, control and direct the workflow of the engineering requests.

What you will do

• Responsible for repairs and maintenance of the building as required by the operation or special projects assigned by the Director of Engineering and/or the Assistant Director of Engineering.
• This position may also respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.

What you bring

• Minimum 4+ years previous experience plant maintenance and operation, including chillers, boilers hot water and steam, pumps, softeners, VFD, DB, pool equipment etc., certifications preferred.
• Requires technical knowledge of general building maintenance including HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical in addition laundry and kitchen equipment knowledge is preferred. Good organizational skills and ability to keep his working areas and storage in neat condition.
• Ability to operate computer equipment.
• This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.
• Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the United States. Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Schedule & Hours

• This is a full‑time position.
• A successful candidate will have the ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
