Job Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Engineering Branch Manager with a strong background in civil engineering and management to lead and develop our client's team in Fredericksburg, VA. This role involves overseeing both geotechnical and construction materials testing (CMT) projects, mentoring staff, and expanding our presence in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities:
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, focusing on both staff development and project delivery.
• Manage geotechnical and CMT staff, ensuring quality and efficiency in project execution.
• Review and prepare senior-level geotechnical reports.
• Drive business development by expanding client relationships and assisting in marketing efforts.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field from an ABET-accredited program).
• 10-15 years of experience in both technical and managerial roles.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong experience in geotechnical engineering and CMT.
• Background in military is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive business development initiatives.
