Job summary

You will conduct research, perform field and lab tests, analyze data, troubleshoot performance issues, and collaborate with operators, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Two years of professional civil, electrical, mechanical, control systems, geotechnical, sanitary or structural engineering experience.
• California driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Advanced degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to develop or improve wastewater treatment processes.
• Perform field and laboratory tests and measurements.
• Carry out calculations using engineering data.
• Troubleshoot process performance issues and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and operators to gather information.
• Assist with compliance reports and regulatory requirements for the Wastewater Department.
• Support projects related to process engineering or unit processes.
