Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Electrical Engineer to support world-class designs for power, process, healthcare, airports, and industrial projects. You will work with project teams through design and construction, adapting electrical plans to budgets and client needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with conceptual to design completion, reviewing drawings, applying electrical concepts and codes, and supporting field inspections and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required; ABET preferred.
• ABET accreditation is strongly preferred.
• EIT certification preferred; internship/consulting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of electrical projects from concept through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for various facilities (power, process, industrial, healthcare, airports, education, commercial, governmental, military).
• Apply basic electrical concepts, codes and procedures to project work.
• Assist with field inspections, measurements or calculations for clients.
• Support client presentations, shop drawing review and contract administration.
