Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Greenville, SC is seeking an Assistant Electrical Engineer to support project teams across a wide range of facilities. You will assist in electrical design from concept through design completion, modify drawings, and help ensure compliance with codes while adapting to client needs.

You will collaborate with project managers, participate in field inspections, and contribute to data collection and presentations. A Bachelor's in EE and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Proficient in standard electrical engineering techniques, principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in electrical design from concept through design completion.
• Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of projects.
• Assist in designing electrical components per project managers' requirements.
• Apply basic knowledge of electrical concepts, codes and procedures.
• Assist with research and data collection for project managers.
• Assist with updating drawings in CAD related software.
• Assist with client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
• Assist in performing field inspections, measurements or calculations.
