Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in the United States seeks an Assistant Director to support the Program Director with hiring and training new staff, supervising personnel, and reporting weekly performance to leadership.

This role manages intakes, staffing to meet weekly service hours, ensures compliance with YAP requirements, and delivers strength-based, culturally competent care. Availability may include evenings/weekends to cover shifts and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree generally preferred; commensurate experience in community-based agency programs is acceptable.
• At least one year of previous experience in managing personnel and budgets.
• Experience with at risk youth, probation, court liaison, etc. a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Program Director with hiring and training staff.
• Motivate and supervise staff; report weekly performance to leadership.
• Perform intakes and coordinate staffing to meet service hours and compliance.
• Ensure culturally competent, strength-based client care.
• Knowledge of child welfare, mental health, juvenile justice, and budgeting concepts.
• Provide direct service and coverage as needed, including evenings/weekends.
• Engage in proactive planning and cross-team collaboration.
