Job summary

The YMCA of Orange County seeks a mission-driven, full-time Assistant Director to lead high-quality youth development programs for ages 5-12, at John H Eader Elementary YMCAP, focusing on safe, welcoming experiences and staff mentorship.

You will enforce safety protocols, oversee operations, contribute to the annual campaign, and collaborate with parents, school partners, and the Parent Advisory Council to strengthen community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Experience working with children (ages 5-12) in after-school, camp, or daycare settings.
• CPR and First Aid certification (YMCA paid).
• Transcript upload required when applying.

Responsibilities

• Mentor children and staff; oversee program operations and staff evaluations.
• Maintain Licensing Title 22 compliance and YMCA safety protocols.
• Build relationships with parents, school reps, and the Parent Advisory Council.
• Support the annual YMCA campaign and cover Director's absence as needed.
