The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the role of Assistant Director of Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction within UNLV Academic Success. This leadership position advances student retention and completion through campus-wide learning support services.

The Assistant Director manages daily operations, supervises a diverse team, leads assessment efforts, and collaborates with faculty and campus partners to expand access to high-quality academic support for undergraduates.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least three years of documented higher education experience in a relevant area.
• 1–3 years of managing temporary and/or full-time employees.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for campus-wide learning support services, including tutoring, embedded tutoring, and Supplemental Instruction.
• Supervise a team consisting of a full-time coordinator, graduate assistants, and student employees; handle recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and timekeeping.
• Lead assessment efforts, collect and analyze data, and prepare semester and annual reports to inform continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with faculty, department chairs, and campus partners to align services with student needs and promote access to support programs.
• Identify and implement opportunities to expand learning support services for undergraduates.
