Job summary

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the Assistant Director of IT Support in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. This role leads Service Desk, Field Support, and Endpoint Lifecycle teams, delivering responsive, customer-centered IT services to students, faculty, and staff.

Reporting to IT Operations, the position focuses on setting expectations, staff development, performance monitoring, and continuous improvements in partnership with UNLV Health and campus IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of related experience and three years of supervisory/management experience.
• Experience in higher education, medical school, or a professional program.
• Experience managing Service Desk, Field Support, and endpoint support services.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
• UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the Service Desk, Field Support, and Endpoint Lifecycle Management teams.
• Set service expectations, monitor performance, and drive improvements that strengthen the support experience.
• Collaborate with UNLV Health, campus partners, and IT colleagues to ensure efficient, consistent services.
• Support staff development and align IT operations with departmental goals and priorities.
