Job summary

University System of Maryland (USM) seeks an Assistant Director to support Academic Affairs by coordinating ARTSYS adoption, transfer pathways, and statewide events for Maryland community colleges and four-year institutions.

You will lead collaboration with partners, manage logistical aspects of MTPC, and ensure ADA-compliant communications and materials. Travel statewide and strong stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of university or college administrative or academic professional experience in admissions, records and registration, and/or academic advising.
• Experience with transfer enrollment and articulation.
• Understanding of transfer policies, articulation practices, and pathways within Maryland higher education.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including students and institutional partners.
• Willingness to travel statewide and lift up to 30 lbs for event setup.

Responsibilities

• Supports ARTSYS Product and Project Manager with ARTSYS system implementation and vendor coordination.
• Coordinates outreach with Maryland community college partners related to ARTSYS Program Transfer Guides.
• Plans and facilitates meetings with community college partners to clarify system functionality and training needs.
• Promotes ARTSYS through transfer fairs, meetings, and workshops.
• Leads Maryland Transfer Partnership Conference planning and coordination for statewide professionals.
• Collaborates with USM IT to develop and maintain registration websites for events.
• Coordinates logistics for MTPC, retreats, workshops, and in-person meetings, including agenda development.
