Job summary

The University System of Maryland Office seeks an Assistant Director to support the Academic Affairs unit by coordinating ARTSYS transfers, statewide events, scholarships, and affinity groups.

You will partner with Maryland community colleges and four-year institutions to plan, host, and promote transfer fairs and conferences, manage stakeholder communications, and ensure ADA compliance across documents and materials, reporting to the Director of Articulation and Enrollment Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Five years of university or college administrative or academic setting experience within admissions, records and registration, and/or academic advising.
• Experience with transfer enrollment and articulation.

Responsibilities

• Supports ARTSYS platform implementation and coordinates vendor calls.
• Coordinates outreach with Maryland community college partners for ARTSYS transfer guides.
• Plans meetings with community college partners to clarify system functionality and training needs.
• Assists with promoting ARTSYS through transfer fairs, meetings, workshops, and other venues.
• Lead MTPC planning and coordinate statewide college fairs and events.
• Develops websites with USM IT for in-person and virtual events.
• Coordinates MTPC logistics for retreats and meetings and aligns with the unit’s plan.
• Participates in scholarship administration and donor-aligned processes.
• Represents USM on statewide committees and supports professional associations.
• Ensures ADA compliance across documents and communications; provides training as needed.
