Job summary

The New School seeks an Assistant Director to coordinate study abroad, exchange programs, and international experiences for students across the university. You will lead advising services, oversee nominations, and partner with campus offices to ensure seamless mobility programming.

You will manage communications, policies, and programming university-wide, including training campus colleagues and collaborating with third-party providers to enhance student experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three years of progressive experience in related areas.
• Student-centered approach with understanding of higher education.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee study abroad and exchange advising for all students across the university.
• Manage all aspects of the study abroad application process with a regular advising schedule.
• Develop and execute pre-departure and re-entry programming for all participants.
• Support for prestigious scholarships and fellowships, e.g., Gilman, Fulbright, Boren.
