Job summary

University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Parent Programs in Amherst to lead wraparound services and non-clinical case management for student parents. You will coordinate programs, supervise 5-10 undergraduate staff, and advance student parent success and degree completion.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 2 years' student-services experience; OR Bachelor's with 4 years' related experience.
• Understanding of issues affecting college student success; knowledge of case management.
• Experience guiding students or individuals through crises and basic needs challenges.
• Proven ability to build positive, collaborative relationships.
• Budget management and expense-tracking knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
• Experience using web-based platforms to initiate and track work.
• Experience with diverse populations and inclusive practices.
• Experience designing and delivering trainings and workshops.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operations of Student Parent Programs, including grant-funded and university-funded initiatives.
• Develop and assess educational initiatives, services, and processes related to Student Parent Programs, supervising 5–10 undergraduate student employees.
• Provide non-clinical case management to student parents and connect them with campus/community resources.
• Serve as Project Coordinator for grant-funded programs and ensure compliance; supervise Graduate Assistant and coordinate services.
• Maintain program records, track outcomes, and ensure adherence to reporting requirements.
• Develop and deliver outreach initiatives, workshops, and trainings for student parents and partners.
• Maintain databases of resources and support policy development and initiatives.
• Collaborate with campus and community partners to enhance program visibility and accessibility.
• Stay informed on legislation and trends affecting student parent success.
• Represent programs on committees when needed.
