York Technical College seeks an Assistant Director of Student Life to lead orientation and first-year experiences, coordinate ambassadors, and manage program administration. The role collaborates with Admissions, Financial Aid, and academic divisions to ensure accurate information and seamless student services.

The position oversees program goals, data-driven assessment, and budget management, while supporting college committees and community events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience administering new student orientation and/or first-year experience programs or coordinating complex programs involving multiple departments.
• Experience training, scheduling, and providing day-to-day direction to student employees, orientation leaders, peer mentors, student ambassadors, or similar program participants.

Responsabilités

• New Student Orientation and Transition - Plans, implements, and evaluates New Student Orientation and related transition experiences. Coordinates with Admissions, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Student Records, Campus Safety, and other College areas to ensure students receive accurate and consistent information.
• First-Year Engagement and Student Ambassador Coordination - Develops and coordinates programs, communications, events, and outreach that help new students navigate the College, build connections, and engage with available resources.
• Program Administration, Assessment, and Improvement - Establishes goals, expected outcomes, implementation plans, and measures of effectiveness for assigned programs. Uses data to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Student Life Support and College Service - Provides administrative and event support for designated Student Life activities outside the position’s primary orientation and transition responsibilities.
