Job summary

UMass Amherst is seeking an Assistant Director for Student Conduct & Community Standards in Amherst. You will oversee day-to-day conduct operations and support the university hearing process, supervising staff and coordinating staff training.

The role emphasizes collaboration across campus, data audits in Advocate, and development of educational initiatives related to student conduct and community standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required with strong professional experience in student services.
• Experience adjudicating student conduct cases or facilitating conflict resolution.
• Proven ability to train staff and conduct workshops and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Triages and processes student conduct referrals and maintains accurate records.
• Administers cases up to housing removal and suspension and ensures procedures are followed.
• Supervises coordinators, graduate assistants, and Residence Life staff as assigned.
• Coordinates University Hearing Board processes and training of board members.
• Supports development and delivery of staff training and educational initiatives.
