Job summary

Genuine Foods is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to oversee day-to-day school meal operations across multiple sites in Florida. You will lead site staff, ensure NSLP compliance, and partner with the Food Service Director to deliver excellent customer service and culinary quality.

Travel between 3–4 school sites is required. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving are essential to succeed in this role and support students and educators daily.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an assisting supervisor in a mid/high-volume food service facility or restaurant.
• Familiarity with NSLP guidelines and regulations.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RAM with daily site visits to observe school food service operations, including food prep, NSLP compliance, student engagement, and customer service.
• Assist the food service director by managing food service leads at assigned schools as direct reports, including weekly check-ins.
• Enhance culinary operations at all sites and cover for food servers when needed.
• Proactively communicate performance issues to management and resolve operations or culinary concerns.
• Collaborate with staff to develop school-specific solutions to ensure high-quality service.
• Train school staff on standardized policies and procedures (clocking-in/out, production records, FIFO, inventory, menus).
• Travel between 3–4 school sites to ensure Genuine standards are met.
