Job summary

Gateways to Change, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director to coordinate daily and weekly staff and consumer activities, ensuring programs are carried out, adequate staffing is available, and time is used efficiently.

The role includes direct instruction to consumers, modeling teaching techniques, leading staff training on Human Rights, First Aid, Medication administration, and data collection, and collaborating with the treatment team to develop goals and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework in Human Services.
• One year direct experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, registrations & inspection.
• Criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.

Responsibilities

• Create, adapt, and maintain daily/weekly staff and consumer schedules to ensure programs are carried out and staffing is adequate.
• Provide direct instruction to consumers and model teaching/intervention techniques.
• Conduct/arrange and document staff training on Human Rights, Behavior Management, First Aid, Administration of Medication, Detecting Illness and Dysfunction, Communicable Diseases, Sexuality, Normalization, Data Taking, and Household Systems.
