Job summary

Louisiana Tech University seeks an Assistant Director of Facilities to lead maintenance, custodial, renovation, and facilities across residential communities in Ruston, LA. Qualifications

• Experience overseeing maintenance and custodial operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day maintenance and custodial operations for assigned residential facilities.
• Ensure residential facilities meet health, safety, fire and accessibility standards.
• Monitor building conditions and conduct regular facility inspections.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and after-hours work and response procedures.
• Implement preventative maintenance and regular custodial schedules.
• Supervise maintenance and custodial civil service positions and conduct performance evaluations for civil service employees.
• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and develop facilities personnel while fostering a culture of excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Manage the housing work order system and analyze trends to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor facilities operating budgets and obtain quotes and manage purchasing of supplies and materials in addition to contracted services.
• Coordinate facility support for conferences and summer camps in addition to the opening and closing of residential facilities for student move in/move out periods.
• Respond professionally and timely to student, parent and staff concerns regarding facility issues.
• Promote a customer-focused maintenance operation that supports student satisfaction.
